I am a professor and master tutor at the School of Cyber Science And Technology, Sun Yat-sen University. I am also an editorial board member of the Journal of Image and Graphics(JIG) and Cybersecurity. From 2017 to 2019, I worked at Tencent AI Lab (visiting researcher), State Key Laboratory of Pattern Recognition at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (visiting scholar), and Visual Computing Group of Microsoft Research Asia(visiting researcher). Also, from 2017 to 2022, I worked as an associate researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Information Security, Institute of Information Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. I received my master's degree from Tianjin University of Technology, followed by a joint Ph.D. from Tianjin University and the University of California, Merced, and have been engaged in computer vision and multimedia content security for a long time.

Research Interests

My research interests cover cyberspace content security, computer vision, aritificial intelligence, and machine learning, including:

  • Cyberspace content security: deepfake, digital watermark, tampering image detection
  • Visual Perception: object detection and recognition, crowd counting, optical flow estimation
  • Image processing: image/video restoration, image/video enhancement
